My own spa experience began with the signature water ritual: a sequence of sauna, steam, and plunge pools designed to invigorate the senses. A traditional lomi lomi massage followed, blending therapeutic techniques with a deep connection to Hawaiian culture. The experience was rejuvenating and the perfect way to unwind and refresh after my journey from the mainland.

For adventure seekers, the options are enticing. I tried my hand at eFoiling, an exhilarating—albeit challenging—activity that allowed me to glide over the water’s surface. Whether you prefer paddleboarding, hiking scenic trails, or simply enjoying a sunset from your lanai, Kukui‘ula offers something for everyone. Kaua‘i itself is perfect for bike rides along the eastern coastline, hiking, and ocean activities.

In August 2024, Kukui’ula hosted its inaugural Calabash at Kukui’ula. Similar to a food and wine festival, the week-long celebration featured global cuisine, exceptional wines and spirits, wellness, movement, and music with workshops led by global tastemakers. The next Calabash, taking place August 18–23, 2025, will be open to owners and guests of The Lodge at Kukui’ula.
